Surface Cleaning
Cleaning the surface using Hawk Surface Wash solvent cleaner removes build-up and residual oils from the substrate, providing a fresh surface to begin the resurfacing process.

Sanding

Sand using 180-220 grit sandpaper will scuff the surface and promote adhesion.

Surface Wash

After sanding, remove sanding dust and any residual oils using Hawk Surface Wash solvent cleaner, leaving behind a clean surface.

Repair

Once the surface is sanded and cleaned, repair imperfections and seams as necessary using ProFil™ Compound

Wipe-On Bonding Agent

QuickPrep+, Universal Bonding Agent provides optimum adhesion, significantly extending the lifespan of the coating.

Primer
UltraGrip 4100 High Build Primer System is a high-build, extremely durable primer system offering excellent adhesion and hide, while saving time by filling texture from wood grain or minor scratches and imperfections.

UltraGrip Lo 4300 is a low odor, low VOC and offers the same qualities as the UltraGrip 4000 system, in a low odor and low VOC format.

UltraGrip WB 7400 Primer System offers excellent adhesion and hide, in a virtually odorless, low VOC water-based formula.

Topcoats

For added durability, a protective topcoat can be applied in a variety of sheen levels.

StoneGard™ Topcoat
Designed for the heavy use of most kitchen surfaces, StoneGard topcoat will provide the maximum durability. This topcoat is acid and stain-resistant and available in both satin and semi-gloss finishes.

IsoFree Plus™ StoneGard Topcoat
IsoFree StoneGard, an isocyanate-free coating, provides all of the protective StoneGard properties, in a formula free of isocyanates.

GlasTech™ 9000 Clear Topcoat System
This topcoat system is the leader in the industry for a high-gloss, high-durability finish. Available in 48, 24, and 4-hour cure times, the GlasTech system can be applied to all types of surfaces.

The proprietary StoneFlecks™ Ultra formula lays virtually flat, eliminating the need to sand texture before top coating, and cures fast, allowing clear topcoat to be applied in as little as 30 minutes.

To enhance the fleck particle size and a achieve a softer stone effect, add Dynamic Fleck Enhancer. For an added touch of glamour, Dream Flecks Metallics can be applied on top of any StoneFlecks Ultra Multi-Color Finish.

For best results, use a coordinating UltraGrip Primer Resin colour or Water Based UltraGrip Primer Resin colour.
