Sanding
Sand using 180-220 grit sandpaper will scuff the surface and promote adhesion.
Surface Wash
After sanding however, remove sanding dust and any residual oils using Hawk Surface Wash solvent cleaner so leaving behind a clean surface.
Repair
Once the surface is sanded and cleaned, repair imperfections and seams as necessary using ProFil™ Compound
Wipe-On Bonding Agent
Lastly, QuickPrep+, Universal Bonding Agent provides optimum adhesion, significantly extending the lifespan of the coating.
For added durability, a protective topcoat can be applied in a variety of sheen levels.
